The hotel presented exceptional rooms that were spacious and clean. However, noise from the adjacent door made for a restless night's sleep, indicating room 21 should be avoided. Despite some oversight with towels and toilet paper, the room itself was top-notch and well-maintained. The secretary handled the payment seamlessly.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was met with a room that smelt awful, possibly due to a previous occupant with smelly feet. However, the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, our room location near the main door made it a noisy experience, leading to the worst night's sleep. Room 21 should be avoided at all costs. The cleanliness was subpar with cobwebs everywhere and dirty walls. The breakfast was a letdown with cold food, dirty cutlery, and unfriendly staff who lacked a smile, affecting my overall stay negatively.

The hotel has a convenient location for a break on the trip down to Porthtowan each year, close to retail shops, ASDA, and other amenities. However, the cleanliness of the floors and reception toilets was subpar. The dining experience offered a high standard but was initially unsatisfactory, while the rooms needed a deep clean and better soundproofing on the 1st floor.

I stayed in a family room that was lovely, very clean, comfortable, and very quiet, providing a great sleep quality. However, the noise from people passing by the room was disturbing, impacting my rest negatively. The location was ideal for my visit to the NT property at Lanhydroc House, making it really convenient for my annual trip to Porthtowan. The hotel is close to various retail shops in the town center, offering a prime location for exploring both the north and south coasts.
